the tropical storm season is nearing a close as September nears an end. Steady good fishing and some early reports of tuna down south.
September is heating up, not just with the weather being hot and humid, but the fishing seems to have picked up the pace as well.
August has come and gone without a hitch, but decent fishing continues and showing some slight improvements in variety and quantity.

South winds, cold currents, cloudy water conditions and add a sprinkling of COVID-19 and that’s our season. Ugh!
Then this week we topped it off with hurricane Genevieve, closed ports and even worse water conditions. Cabo got spanked with high winds and some flooding, La Paz not much more then cloudy skies and high humidity.

Summer weather but, not summer fishing. This is not to say fishing is bad, it’s just not what we normally see for this time of year.
The weather is hot and humid, with traditional Coromuel winds in the morning turning into flat calm seas most days.
Regarding fishing to sum it up in one word, excellent. Not only is the quality and quantity off the charts. Never in my 30 years of fishing the Baja have I witnessed such variety.
