What’s up with Kayak and SUP?

Marine park regulations have limited recreational vessel use to consider kayaks with a registry and specific permits, which is why we can only do such activities from Yachts and Catamarans at certain anchorages. Our beach palapa has them available to rent by the hour on the private beach within Puerta Cortes resort

Are there any other shark species in the area?

Besides whale sharks, sometimes we see juvenile hammerheads and curious silky sharks out in the fishing spots. The locations we typically choose for snorkeling activities are shark-free. Our marine biologist guides will happily explain shark ecology and their importance to our ecosystems, as most people do, you will transform your beliefs and misconceptions about sharks.

How many hours do we spend with the whale sharks?

Local regulations establish that each boat is allowed a timeframe of 2 hours inside of the whale shark sanctuary. Furthermore, each boat can stay with the same whaleshark for up to 30 minutes, which is about 4 different whalesharks in an excursion, although most of the time we see many more!

Can different activities be combined?

Absolutely ! Our private charters offer a certain degree of flexibility. Some boats have different permits, but as long as the combination works with the boat, we’re happy to pair you up with activity specific guides and gear !
