BEFORE YOU BOOK

A few things to know.

Have a question about your group or swimming experience? Ask our team before choosing your tour.

When is whale shark season?

The usual season is October through April. The actual opening and access depend on authorization and whale shark presence. Check with us for your travel dates; a season label is not a guarantee of operation.

How long is the tour?

Allow approximately 2–3 hours for the standard whale shark trip, plus check-in 30 minutes before departure. Time in the water varies with conditions and the authorized activity rules.

Do I need snorkeling experience?

Tell us about your swimming ability, children’s ages and any support needs before booking. Our team can help you decide whether the activity is suitable. Equipment is provided; comfort in the water matters.

What if my plans change?

The current published policy allows a full refund or rescheduling when canceling at least 72 hours before departure. Within 72 hours, a 50% charge applies. No-shows and late arrival are charged in full. Review the final terms when booking.

What if weather or access changes?

Departure and access depend on conditions and official authorization. Contact our team for the rescheduling or refund terms that apply if the operator cannot run your tour.

What should I bring?

Bring a swimsuit, towel, hat, sunglasses and a light jacket. Ask the crew for current sun-protection guidance. Alcohol is not permitted before or during the activity.

Is a German-speaking guide available?

This page is available in German to help you plan. Please ask us which guide languages are available on your date; a German-speaking guide is not promised by the website language.
