Winter Winds, Summer Fish

More Fall Fishing Action continues as the bite on Mahi, Wahoo and Marlin is sustained through the slightly different weather.

La Paz Fishing Report / January 12th 2019

Weather & Bait

The Winter winds and cold weather dominated the week. We are definitely in the middle of our winter weather pattern. Our North winds blow 4-5 days with 2-3 days break.

This week we’ve had some cold air come in bringing our temperatures down to the high 50s low 60s, brrrrr. So bring a light jacket, hoodie and shoes that cover your toes.

Hablar de peces

Regarding fishing there’s not a whole lot to report this week. Due to light crowds and the port being closed most days the few days we did fish were mostly inshore around Espíritu Santo.

We did find plenty of action with Bonito, trigger fish and on Saturday literally 10 minutes before lines out we had a guest hook into and land a 36.6 kilo tuna, making a winter wind day feel like summer…

Congrats Rigo!

El futuro

Patrick and myself finished the ISE sportsman show in Denver last night. We made a lot of new friends and looking forward to their visit to La Paz. Today we leave for Sacramento for the second ISE sportsman show starting Thursday, if you’re around please stop by our booth.

Got to get going long drive ahead.
