November 28th Fishing Report!

La Paz Fishing Report / november 28th 2021

Weather & Bait

Things were a little quiet around here with the Thanksgiving holiday.
The weather was great with cool nights and daytime highs in the low 80’s.
The water is definitely starting to transition to our winter conditions cooling off around the high 70’s and off color.

Hablar de peces

Pesca generally speaking is good but very inconsistent, both on species and count.
To say there is a big variety is a bit mis leading, although there is a lot of different species out there. The day to day catches are just pretty random.
One day you may find a school of dorado or tangle with a 50lb wahoo. One boat cranks it out while another gets skunked. Some of the local rocky drop offs are holding yellowtail or Cabrilla. It’s just all over the place but no patterns. A local pangero landed a 144 kilo tuna on a sardine at La Reina. Who knows?
As we get into December our prevailing North winds will start forming, this doesn’t mean the pesca en is bad it just limits our days we can get out.

Updates of Magbay

Cazador is still out off of Mag bay on a last minute charter and should be back mid December. The pesca en out there has been and still is nothing but stellar for all the Pelagic species, especially large yellowfin tuna.

Not much else to report.
Enjoy the holidays and please be safe.
