Every year Gray Whales engage in one of the longest migrations in the Animal Kingdom, as they travel nearly 5,000 miles from the food-rich waters of the Alaskan coast to the warm and shallow waters of Baja, which serve as nurseries for their young calves.
There are an estimated 65,000 gray whales living along the North American coast, and about 300 of them swim right into Magdalena Bay. You can see incredible animals in person by joining Baja Adventure Co.’s Gray Whale Air Adventure.
We are extremely excited to announce our newest adventure designed to get you next to the whales and then back to Los Cabos in the same day so that it is easy to fit this trip into your vacation plans.
We’ve teamed up with FLYBAJA and Capt. Alejandro Fernandez to offer you this unique experience. Every detail of the trip has been carefully thought out so you can relax and enjoy your vacation.
Your trip will begin in beautiful Los Cabos, Mexico, where our friendly staff will pick you up from your hotel or home and chauffeur you to the airport. Once there, we’ll board a Cessna 206 Turbo, piloted by Captain Fernandez. One-and-one-half hours later, we’ll arrive in the town of Lopez Mateos.
Our staff will pick you up directly from the airstrip and take you on a brief ride to the dock, where your boat will be waiting. Experienced and certified guides will accompany you on the journey and help you not only spot the whales but also teach you about them.
In order to give you the best possible experience, this trip is limited to 5 guests per day. So, you will get 100% of our attention and the VIP service you deserve.
All of this excitement is sure to give you a big appetite, so we’ll take you out for a delicious Mexican seafood lunch including fish, shrimp, and lobster upon completing the tour. Most of our guests absolutely love the lunch, which is made from seafood harvested directly from the Bay only hours earlier.
At the conclusion of your meal, our staff will drive you back to the airstrip. Captain Fernandez will be ready and waiting to escort you safely home while enjoying incredible views of the picturesque Baja landscape.
Our trip will have you stepping back onto the dock about 8 hours after you first departed, which means you you’ll arrive home before sunset, and still have plenty of time and energy left to enjoy the local nightlife.
